Privacy Policy
Who is responsible
Tacit is operated by D. Lerina, who is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@tacit.software.
What we collect
- Your declaration: household composition and the income of each earner, as you enter it.
- Name and contact details: your name, which appears on your Narrative, and your email address, so we can deliver your documents.
- Technical data: basic server logs needed to run and secure the service.
We do not ask for documents, identity numbers or bank details. Payment details are handled by Paddle.com and never reach us.
What you receive
One verdict, as three sealed documents. Each holds different data:
- Narrative: a presentation letter for landlords and agents, which names you and introduces your household. It carries a QR code that confirms it is genuine while it is valid.
- Declaration: your statement that the information you declared is true, with your household and the income of each earner, and the list of documents needed to rent. It holds personal data, including amounts, and carries a QR code too.
- Positioning: a private report for you, with a yes or no for each of the eight rental segments and the rule behind each outcome. It refers to your declaration by its seal.
The documents are yours. We share them with no one; if you show them to a landlord or an agent, that is your choice.
Why we use it
We use your declaration only to calculate your verdict and produce your three documents, and your email only to deliver them and handle support. The legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Your three documents are valid for 90 days after they are issued. During that time you can download them again, and anyone you show them to can check them by scanning their QR code.
- After 90 days the documents expire. We delete them, and scanning the QR code no longer confirms them.
- Because your declaration is one of the documents, your declared household and income are kept for those 90 days too. You can ask us to delete your documents sooner at any time; they stop being valid when they are deleted.
- We may keep anonymised statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
Who else receives data
Paddle.com processes your payment and keeps purchase records as Merchant of Record, under its own privacy policy. Our hosting provider, OVHcloud, stores data on our behalf, on a server in Germany, in the European Union. We share nothing else.
Cookies
This website uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. If you choose light or dark mode, your browser remembers that choice in its own storage; it is never sent to us.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to hello@tacit.software. You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands.
